Seven years ago, Cambri Blaine fled her small hometown of Bridger, Colorado after her senior year of high school ended in a fiasco. But now her father needs help, and Cambri has no choice but to return home. So with trepidation, she takes a leave of absence from the landscape architecture firm where she works and heads home, hoping against hope that Jace Sutton is no longer around and that the past can stay where it belongs—in the past.
If only life worked that way.
Jace never expected to see Cambri again. After she walked out of his life without a backward glance, he was left with no choice but to try to forget her and move on. But now that Cambri is back and looking more beautiful and sophisticated than ever, some of those old feelings resurface, and Jace instinctively knows, for the sake of his heart, that he needs to avoid her at all costs.
If only it were that easy.

Cambri thinks that her life is all that she has ever wanted and then her dad has a heart attach, making her return to her childhood home that she never wanted to return to. She also had to return to help her father, who she never felt she was good enough for. How sad is that? She also ran away from some things in her hometown that she didn't think she was ready to face. Then walks in Jace. Let's just start with his name. Jace...Yes, please ;). I love a man to swoon over in a book. The the short pages of this novel, it is very easy to fall in love with Jace. It's also very easy to feel bad for him. Such a hard worker, and loyal grandson. He was such a great character. He had such a great personality.
Cambri, I liked because she seemed like a strong woman to me, just a little afraid of facing things from the past. Although, going into my past would be a terrifying thing ;). I would never want to live those years again...hehe. She was feisty, and had a good head on her shoulders, and a great career. Made me happy that she was an independent woman....Until returning home, and realizing that independence isn't all it's cracked up to be.
This is such a sweet story, of love, missed opportunities, and forgiveness. I cried happy tears in this book. Who doesn't love a sappy romance? Well if you do, then shame on you ;). Sappy romances are so fantastic. They can't help but make you feel happy.
If you want, a sweet, sappy (and in my opinion "sappy" is a huge compliment), quick story to read this is just the book for you.
I love how much I felt for these characters. So much so, that I wanted the book to keep going, it was then that I realized that it's #3 in the series. Although I think each can be read as a stand alone, but it would have been fun to read the ones before. Like I said before, I am going to fix that pronto :).
It's so beautifully written, that I just wanted to sit on the front porch in the story and bask in the beautiful landscape. I felt like I was while reading. Such a cute story!

Righting a Wrong A Ripple Effect Romance Novella edition by Rachael Anderson Romance eBooks Reviews
I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
To be fair, I generally don’t “do” novellas. For some reason, they just aren’t my reading of choice. Righting A Wrong did a good job of capturing my attention, and though it may not fully convert me, I would consider adding a few more novellas to my reading list.
It is important to note that though it can be read as a stand-alone, this story is one of the middle parts of a series. I was unaware of that fact before I began reading. Had I known, I probably would have considered the others first in order to get more character depth (something I often miss with a novella).
Cambri’s relationship with her dad was never great. He always pushed her to work harder, go farther, and with little to no praise. Add in the death of her mother when Cambri was a teenager, a poor relationship is exacerbated by grief. Cambri makes a difficult choice to leave town and never look back after graduation, hurting a young Jace in the process. Years later, Cambri is forced to return to her childhood home to care for an ailing father and finds herself running into Jace at every turn. Righting A Wrong is the story of their second chance at romance.
Like I said before, I’m not a convert to the novella scene. However, I would consider reading the full series in the same vein as binge-watching a full season of a tv show. As a novella, it’s not bad, but I certainly missed the character development and it comes across a little too saccharine for my tastes. While it’s not the perfect fit for me, it was a decent way to pass time. Righting a wrong gets three stars from me- it was entertaining enough, but way too syrupy for me, even if it was a clean romance.
Cambri made the decision to leave her hometown and make her way in the world. Of course, this meant leaving her father and best friend behind. Right after said best friend had indicated he might want to make their friendship a little something more. Seven years later Cambri is back to help her ailing father. Of course, coming home manages to bring up many feelings she thought she had gotten rid of, including ones she might have had for her best friend Jace. It doesn't help that she keeps running into Jace everywhere. Jace and Cambri soon discover that old friendships die hard, and maybe there's a chance that old wrongs can actually be righted.
This was a very sweet book. Cambri had to make a decision when her best friend Jace made a bit of a move. Still dealing with the death of her mother, Cambri decided to follow her heart and live her dreams by going to the school she always wanted far from home. This allowed her to start the career she always wanted on the east coast. Of course, this kept her away from her home town for a long time. Part of this was career and part was not wanting to deal with everything she left behind. When her father falls ill though, Cambri is forced to return home. It proves to be just as difficult as she had thought it would be, but of course the feelings she feld didn't just disappear.
I liked that Cambri followed her heart. Sometimes you need to focus on your needs, and that's exactly what Cambri did. It allowed her to gain some clarity she wouldn't have had previously. She and Jace had a very sweet relationship. I liked that there was tension between them, but it wasn't held out too long just for the sake of the story. It followed a more natural course. Both Jace and Cambri were given chances to grow and change in the process of rediscovering each other. This was a super quick read, and it was so much fun to read. For a quick and sweet romance, check this book out.
